All About the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament

As the only PGA tour event in Hilton Head, SC, the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament location is important to the team at our BMW dealership because it’s right in our backyard. This important event has been home to Hilton Head, SC, since 1969 and raises funds for charitable organizations located in Lowcountry.

Proud to be a sponsor of the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament 2022, we take great pride in the history of this important fundraising event. The RBC Heritage Golf Tournament was a little-known secret when it began in 1969, however, when Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer committed to play the event, the popularity of the event grew. Held one week after the Masters, the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament holds a purse of approximately $8 million and features a fan base of more than 125,000 in Hilton Head, SC.

The kickoff of the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament includes a parade in the Harbour Town Yacht Basin with a reenactment of traditions that date back to the 18th century. This portion of the PGA Tour also glorifies hotspots in Hilton Head, SC, including the Sea Pines Resort, Harbour Town Golf Links, the Harbour Town Lighthouse, the Coastal Discovery Museum, Coligny Beach and golf courses throughout South Carolina.

Each year, the lineup includes pro golfers and some of the brightest stars adding more revenue to the community we love and charity donations to worthwhile organizations.
