BMW Presents its First-Ever M3 CS

December 20th, 2017 by

Last month, BMW unveiled its special edition M3 CS to the world, presenting a vehicle that delivers a compelling mix of performance and practicality. The first-ever M3 CS is much lighter than the standard M3 and it offers a lower center of gravity that offers even more agile handling when you're on the road.

The 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine generates 453 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, and can register a 0-60 mph time of only 3.7 seconds. This engine is so strong, in fact, that it's top speed has been electronically limited to 174 mph (please make sure to follow all posted speed limits).

The standard Adaptive M Suspension lets drivers choose between Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes that feature different damper settings in each of the modes. Three different settings for the precise electromechanical steering can also be selected at the touch of a button.

The chassis features Active M Differential, which serves to enhance the vehicle's tremendous traction and stability. A control unit connects with the Dynamic Stability Control system to factor in such aspects as accelerator position and yaw weight to adapt to changing driving situations and ensuring that maximum torque is delivered to the rear wheels.

Customers in the United States may order the M3 CS beginning in May 2018, and there will only be 1,200 models distributed around the world.

At Hilton Head BMW, we're proud to assist BMW drivers from the Hilton Head, Bluffton, Beaufort and Port Royal areas.
