What’s New in the 2020 BMW X6
Third-Generation Model, First-Ever Innovation
On one hand, discussing what’s new in the 2020 BMW X6 is somewhat redundant, as the entire model is listed as “all-new” due to its impressive redesign for 2020. On the other hand, the first actual X6 debuted back in 2008. Launched as an SUV coupe, it pioneered a new class of vehicles which in turn began inspiring similar models from eager competitors.
However, the 2020 BMW X6 — now the brand’s third-generation Sports Activity Coupe® — definitely takes the class to, well, an even higher class. With more, better, extra and added everything, it unapologetically takes center stage with head-turning extravagance, breathtaking performance and sheer jaw-dropping power.
At Hilton Head BMW, we’re never happier than when we’re giving our customers a taste of The Ultimate Driving Machine® — and the ultimate vehicle-shopping experience. Stop by for a test drive and discover how you can take the lead anywhere you go in the all-new 2020 BMW X6.
Three Trims, Unlimited Prestige
From the base model six-cylinder sDRIVE40i to the first-ever M50i, the 2020 BMW X6 delivers luxury at every point in three extraordinary trims. Sumptuous leather seats and heated front seats are standard, as are the high-gloss wood trim, privacy glass, and huge panoramic moonroof with fully automatic, two-piece glass panel and multiple accompanying niceties. Virtually unlimited additional touches of refinement are yours for the asking, however, including available glass controls, leather dashboard, leather-wrapped steering wheel and optional illuminated Kidney Grille — another BMW first-ever innovation. The 2020 BMW X6 even offers an impressive selection of wheel styles to ensure your X6 captures attention — from the ground up.
From Powerful Profile to Powerful Performance
Sporting an aggressively wide stance and chiseled profile — set off by standard adaptive full LED headlights, also available with Laserlight — the 2020 BMW X6 exudes incomparable power and unparalleled prestige. While the sDRIVE40i and xDRIVE40i models both dominate the road with a TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder, 335-horsepower engine and eight-speed Sport Automatic transmission with Sport and Manual shift modes, the X6’s power takes a massive leap forward in the M50i. Its 4.4-liter BMW M Performance TwinPower Turbo V8 engine delivers 553 lb-ft of torque and a colossal 523 horsepower, propelling the vehicle from 0-60 MPH in just over four short seconds. The M50i even sounds intimidating, compliments of its standard M Sport Exhaust System — also available with the M Sport design on the xDRIVE40i and sDRIVE40i models.
Powerful Infotainment, As Well
Not to be outdone by the power surging from under the hood, the 2020 BMW X6 comes standard with the multi-input iDrive 7.0 system, which — naturally — is one of the best available and operates by voice, touchscreen and the iDrive touchpad controller. Also standard is the Live Cockpit Professional with a pair of 12.3-inch displays. This ingenious feature enables the vehicle to determine who’s driving it and automatically adapt various settings to that person’s preferences.
The 2020 BMW X6 may be third-generation, but its list of firsts is extensive. We invite you to visit Hilton Head BMW and experience them for yourself with a test drive. Stop by anytime and discover why we’re a premier Hilton Head car dealership for the island and surrounding area.
