Avid followers of BMW might remember back at the close of 2011 BMW chose to collaborate with Japanese manufacturer Toyota in the area of green technology. Though the two automakers aren't direct competitors, this union came as a surprise to many. Nevertheless, BMW signed a set of documents and is now ready to gain a bit of the other auto producer's hybrid knowledge.
Recently, company officials on both sides have whispered at agreement on several other projects aside from green car technology. Where exactly is this information coming from? Trust us when we say, Hilton Head BMW knows checking your sources is important within the auto field. In this case, the "word on the street" comes from Der Spiegel, a weekly German news magazine very close to BMW officials.
While the shape of these new projects has not taken form nor been revealed to the public, Reuters says, "BMW Chief Executive Norbert Reithofer and Toyota President Akio Toyoda will announce details in the near future."1
In the meantime, Hilton Head BMW would like to invite those in the Bluffton area to stop by 1230 Fording Island Rd (Hwy 278) Bluffton, SC 29910 and take a peek at our current lineup of new BMW vehicles. What's more, feel free to schedule a time to meet with any member of our BMW Parts Department if you have any questions or concerns regarding the health and standing of your own BMW auto. More than a new vehicle provider, we strive to be a hub for all things brand-related.
